"Jesus Freak" (Doug Champion) and "We All Want to See Heaven" (First Church Choir)

It was an interesting day at First Church as we celebrated our second Holy Hilarity Sunday.  Doug Champion got us started with "Jesus Freak" and the choir did 'We All Want to See Heaven" for the offertory.  (This was JUST the beginning!)

And... Andy Miller brought us Noah's Top 10 from the home office in Nazareth!  What a day!

I think this will take you to a video link of the anthem:  http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150166022442511&comments

From Devastation to Resurrection - Easter Morning, 4.24.11

A spectacular Easter morning at First Church.  We welcomed old friends, made new friends and missed those who were not with us.  We're glad you can be with us through the magic of technology.

Be sure to scroll down and listen to Sam's "They Could Not" and Dan & Doug's "Because He Lives".  We were blessed with marvelous music this morning.

"They Could Not" (Offertory) and "Because He Lives" (Anthem) - Easter morning 4.24.2011

Many from our choir may have been away for Easter break, but those who were with us blessed us greatly with their gifts.

Samantha Writtenhouse (who has the voice of an angel) shared "They Could Not" during the offertory.  It was magnificent.  Then Dan Tryon (our favorite director of music) and Doug Short (just one of our favorite people) sang "Because He Lives", an Easter morning tradition at First.  It was spectacular!

Agnus Dei - Choir's Anthem 4.10.2011

What an incredible job the choir did this morning!  We are all blessed.

If you don't know the words of "Agnus Dei", I have included them:
Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi
(Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.)
Miserere nobis
(Have mercy on us).
Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi
(Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world)
Dona nobis pacem.
(Grant us peace).
