Dan's offertory was something very new and lovely. The choir's anthem was spectacular. Their harmony is amazing.
St. Augustine said, "He who sings, prays twice." Truly, we were prayed over today by the incredible music of the choir's anthem.
Oh... but the choir was spectacular (again) today!
Considering the authority of Jesus is an extraordinary exercise, but using an exorcism to do it is very interesting. Listen as we discuss a different way of looking at it all.
We shared communion near the end of the service and invite you to partake of the bread and the cup as well.
Call to the Table
One: ......... God calls us to come and dine this day with our brothers and sisters around the world.
Many: ..... God’s food is good for the body, the mind, and the soul.
One: ......... It heals and mends. It strengthens and delights. It warms and makes what is broken whole.
Many: ..... God’s food brings joy, wisdom, love and peace to all who share it.
One: ......... God calls us to turn from our busy ways and to sit at His table and eat.
Many: ..... Come then, come and dine and let God’s Spirit minister to us all.
Another Sunday with incredible music!
When Jesus says, "Drop everything and follow me," what does He mean? Listen and maybe you'll find out.
Dan, our music director, truly has a gift in his ability to open the hymnal and make music such as this fill our sanctuary and our hearts. His ability to arrange 'on the fly' is one of his many gifts and we are blessed.
Slick roads kept our numbers down today, but even a choir with fewer voices can be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Just listen!
It's always fun to select the bulletin cover art as the service is coming together during the week. This morning's art takes a while to 'figure out', but as you listen to the sermon, you'll definitely get it! Grace & peace!
