Another day of beautiful music as we welcome new members to the choir!
Another day of beautiful music as we welcome new members to the choir!
We continue our series on walking with God with the beginning of a trio of walkers -- Abram (Abraham), Sarai (Sarah) and Hagar.
We continue with our series on "Walking with God" with one of the heroes of the Bible -- Noah -- and look at the way his life can impact our own.
We begin a new series today and think about what does it mean to "walk with God". Fortunately, we have some stories that both mirror and impact our own.
Micah 6:8: No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
What a beautiful anthem this morning. Sam's amazing voice blesses us every Sunday.
Child of tomorrow, look now and see.
This world awaits you and all that you’ll be.
Yours are the heavens and yours are the seas.
Child of tomorrow, go forth and follow your dream.
Child of tomorrow soon you will go.
Knowledge and wisdom are yours to behold.
Yours are the heavens and all things below.
Child of tomorrow, find your dream where every you go.
Walk boldly and humbly where ever you go.
Stand proudly and honor the truth that you know.
Follow where your heart leads, for there you must go
Always remembering the path that leads you home.
Child of tomorrow, look now and see that
This world awaits you and all that you’ll be.
Yours are the heavens and yours are the seas.
Child of tomorrow, go forth and follow your dream.
Go forth and follow your dream!
The Holocaust is a stunning reminder of the tragic results of prejudice and hate toward other people. But it is also a reminder that hope held firm will eventually reign victorious over the greatest of odds. The following words were inscribed on the walls of a cellar in Cologne, Germany, where Jews were hiding from the Nazis during WWII. Hope was all they had to hold on to; hope was their only bridge to a brighter tomorrow.
I believe in the sun even when it is not shining,
And I believe in love even when there's no one there.
And I believe in God even when he is silent.
I believe through any trial there is always a way.
But sometimes in this suff’ring and hopeless despair,
My heart cries for shelter, to know someone’s there.
But a voice rises within me saying hold on my child,
I’ll give you strength,
I’ll give you hope,
Just stay a little while.
I believe in the sun even when it is not shining,
And I believe in love even when there's no one there.
And I believe in God even when he is silent.
I believe through any trial there is always a way.
May there someday be sunshine.
May there someday be happiness.
May there someday be love.
May there someday be peace.
We continue our series, exploring our faith, with a switch in direction -- from the intellectual pursuit to the feelings of the heart.
